Driverounds are a great place to start if you’re new to offroading and just wanting to start to dip your toe in the mud! That said, these popular events also attract more experienced drivers who enjoy the often large sites for exploring. We lay out a straightforward, well-signed route which should suit a novice in a ‘softroader’ like a Freelander, a RAV4 or similar. It aims to allow a driver to get used to the handling of their car without damaging it and without proving to be too nerve-wracking. We also have plenty of friendly marshals who are more than happy to have a chat about offroad driving techniques and ensure that drivers make the most of their day out; we recognise that we all had to start somewhere!

These interesting offroaders have included a Stalwart, Zil, Kraz, Bedford, Ural, GMC, Pinzgauer, Unimog and even an army museum Conqueror testing its Rolls Royce engine!
